@vp Pro tip: “know better” and “Trump” are mutually exclusive terms.

We may be making money but we are also breaking our production record. The shortage isn’t because of us. It also has to do with refined product shortage. There are only so many refineries and many in the ME are not getting out product. It is disappointing to see Trump say these things. It may be just bluster for appearances. He definitely has to know better but may be trying to angle for the upcoming elections. I am no sure but I will withhold further opinion until it plays out.

One day he is Dr. Strangelove threatening to destroy their civilization, next day he is John Lennon saying give peace a chance. Hard to count how many times he has said we’ve won and Hormuz is open and free to all, and how many times they are begging to make a deal or we will bo-b them to the Stone Age. This is nothing but rudderless flailing as the war was begun without a strategy, or an understanding of geopolitical history, and with a gross overestimate of his abilities. Ditto with demanding lower prices at the pump.

@bk everyone is reporting this.

What do you think? Does tr--p have a point?

President Donald Trump said Monday that ExxonMobil and Chevron made "too much money" on rising crude oil prices due to the Iran war.

"They're making too much money based on a shortage," Trump told reporters at the White House. "I don't like it."

"Chevron, too much money. ExxonMobil, too much money," Trump said. "They're going to give some of that back to the public and they better cut the retail price, the consumer price."

The article looks like total propaganda. Written by “Al Jazeera Staff”. That’s a strange name for a journalist. We will just call him “Al.” I don’t believe it for a second.

@an
Chevron may have been thrown out but they never left and are now positioned to capitalize on the energy expansion in Venezuela now that the "sanctions" have been lifted. ;)

Gee who could have possibly foreseen the Straight being closed and crude price skyrocketing - well just about everyone, except perhaps a stable genius.
