What % of employees get OPD…Is it reserved for Hi-POs? And do they get it every year? How are they rewarded vs the rest of the us?

I’ve had it several times as a technical individual contributor. Obviously not HiPo.
So far as I know it only gets you something like 20 extra RSUs. I’m not sure it even gets you into a higher pay band than being O.
It is not reserved for hi-pos. Anyone can get it. It comes down to whether or not a manager will allow it.
There is no requirement that anyone get OWD but there is a max number that can receive it. I sat in a meeting where a manager advocated for limiting how many get it so that it stays special in his words. Total tool he is.
Assessment and HiPo are not equivalent. Three-fifths (3/5) of my assessments are Outstanding with Distinction, and I can confidently tell you that I’m not a HiPo.
OWDs are not capped by a percentage, and there is a possibility that there are none.
@am Have you worked here in the last six years?
Do some execs also get OPD?
About 5%; some groups do not award this if there are several 90% candidates that are too close to call so both get 90 instead of 95 and 85 or if they are trying to keep the group average in the HR specified range of average 50 to 55.
It is reserved for designated HiPos or whatever the latest name for them is.
I was actually told once that I was placed as high on the list as possible without being a HiPo. I was told that I was the top performer in the rank group and the best possible scenario is to get top spot under the HiPos. I asked how to improve my ranking and was told impossible and to hope there was not an increase in HiPos in my group.
