Usually layoffs happen between Tuesday and Thursday (I have no idea why those days seem to be so layoff-friendly). What are the chances this begins on Monday?

@an Last year garden leave for many was not 60 days, possibly because the WARN stuff didn't kick in at some locales.
Monday Aug 31. Most deals are locked in so sales/sales teams can all be terminated at whim.
And its before the end of Q, per the business insider article.
Alternatively, non-sales can start on Monday Aug 24 because, thats 60 days before October 23. To avoid lawsuits relating to RSUs, people would get garden leave till then and then be terminated. (60 days is the WARN notification period)
