@19x computational for catlayst, chemometrics, machine learning , etc
@aq is this related to digital IDT which does AI and data science projects? Or computational for catalyst, chemical. How about power technology group? What teams are still there at STCH?
that’s every time at every company in america
indian and mexican labor is used to shrink american wages. which one just is used simply depends on whether its physical or digital labor.
thats one of the many good reasons why every other country in the entire world has laws preventing this. it’s not normal or “good capitalism” to compete with the entire planet as soon as you leave college, if not during or perhaps even during high school if we’re counting starter jobs. but hey, as long as your stick goes up a point, am i right? never mind that the main stock owners never had to deal with this. F you, i got mine, they say.
soon they’ll vote to loot the rest of us to fund they bankrupt social security that we’re warned about as far back as the early 90s and chose to do nothing about, mark my words.
Computational team 85% in stcb for your information
Sometimes there is a "reverse layoff"
Fire two Americans and hire 4-6 people in a low price area to do the same thing.
@g1 ohh, computational team is undergoing re-org, really?
Define two roles as changed more than 30% by randomly taking parts of three roles,
The three people are not defined as incumbents. So, it looks like two new roles. Three people are applying to 2 jobs. That's how they do a layoff.
This works well because the supervisor can say that the other person got your job instead of saying I chose to fire you, But the result and the process are the same. But this is an easier more cowardly way to do a layoff.
they are advertising for new roles, how can there be reduction
@ec what is the timeline , please tell i am nervous
If you think that your team really makes value, then it will be safe. Otherwise, expect cuts.
@am when is the planned cut?
Damm why computational team discussion? Is there anything going around?
@am computational team is not in IDT as of 2026 July
@af this is why IDT reports directly to YL
now. Not because it’s an amazingly valuable org, rather because he wanted to see for himself why it grew to be over HALF of the entire (former) P&T org and wasn’t delivering anything of measurable value. Perhaps not dissolved entirely but certainly will seem that way after the cuts.
will they survive or dissolved?
?
