Now that OxyChem has sold, it looks to me that we have an EVP with nothing to do. Where am I wrong?

@aq None of the EO‘s are 70 are older. The oldest is 66. Half are younger than 60. Please tell me how you came up with your information on employee ages. I don’t think there’s any publication that list all the employees’ ages. Sounds to me like you’re making up facts to fit your point of view.
You can’t get rid of people because of age unless it is in a contract. It is illegal. Instead
the companies offer VSP packages. Most of those over 70 really like what they do, are paid well, and have enough free time off. If the company wants to change the mix then get rid of the hybrid schedule and go back to the 9/80 schedule with 100 percent office work. Younger people will not quit because they need the paycheck. Older workers will run for the door. Very simple solution.
Too many folks over 70 and too many layers … how does Oxy do it? No other independent allows this …
