Many say he was brought in to split us up, to sell “parts” like BT or BNPL or Venmo or Honey/Ads. (I personally don’t think checkout would be touched)

Big question: what if he’s unable to execute on this? What if we have no more buyers? He was not hired to be a “traditional CEO” and that’s why his background looks so stupid to all of us.

Remember when Dan announced his “retirement”? (Sorry for all the “” in this post) It took forever bc SF from Nextdoor and D from Uber said no as did others shortlisted. Alex was both fall guy and bottom of the list.

I have no idea what happens to PayPal with Enrique at the top if he can’t sell parts. If not I bet he’s out quickly. They will not give him Alex grace. Stay strong and do what you can to GTFO.

Man it’s hard to believe this place still has investors who believe in the company. It’s been going down for years and was over $300 at one point. Don’t they have an investor relations team who handles rumors and general information?

@ah Enrique's English is good, yes. As a non-native English speaker I agree with you 100%.
But he still can't be trusted. His philosophy of being "tough on problems, soft with people" after having laid off 1,000s at HP sounds very hollow and slimy. I disliked him the minute he said that.
