At this point, its literally mental abuse. How I am supposed to work if I don’t know what I am doing is even relevant if I get laid off. This is so frustrating

@cz to be clear, nobody told me I am safe. The SD I talked said she is safe. I’m just as clueless as everyone else. Makes me think plenty of vp are side whispering to their direct reports while us little people are left with this site and bl ind to gossip
@cr just because a vp told your director you are safe doesn't mean it's true.
If they lay off a bunch of my peers, we won't hit the IPT deadlines, nor EMU stuff
I talked to a Senior Director today and this person is in San Jose with visibility and work leading directly up to Srini’s high priorities. They told me they have no idea when but that their manager (VP) said next week will be tough but that they are safe. So for sure only VP plus know exactly when.
I have no idea why they announced layoffs months in advanced and then effectively said it would be in August, only to be radio silent now. Literally the worst of all worlds.
Everyone is too stressed to be productive because we know its coming. But then we also don’t have enough info to plan properly because we don’t know who is impacted.
Many people just started quiet quitting months ago and are justifiably waiting around to get severance and stock vest. Which is an obvious consequence to this ‘strategy’.
I’ve stopped working for the most part. I answer questions on slack if needed, not going to leave my co-workers high and dry, but my projects have taken a pause until we get some information.
@bp Stock grants sept 1, so probably mondau
They definitely seem to be dragging their feet to the last possible moment. I think waiting until October triggers more severance payout because you’re further into the year so I can’t see it going until then. Also, they probably want the severance in Q3 so it would have to be by next months. Just 5 more weeks of torture?
@bb that’s a class act right there. F U and your family.
@ax he did all his layoffs right before Christmas at HP
The CEO is doing what he does and that’s lower company value. Day after day. He’s new but damn this has been going down forever! We used to be $300/share!!
@av I've read articles that point out he oversaw splitting HP, which might be the goal with PP too
Like everyone else I’m wondering why Enrique was hired as CEO? Was he a last resort option?
Yup. This is torture. Hope karma gets all that are responsible for that. They treat actual Human Beings like c**p.
Nothing is relevant, PP is a payment company, if they would be gone by tomorrow nothing would change in the world, no one cares. Your Job is your Job, it has no meaning, just to get coins to buy stuff....
Seems like they’re just trying to create stress and anxiety for employees so they quit on their own and don’t require severence. At least in the US. Europe actually cares about its working class and gives way better payouts.
Another day under dum--ss Enrique with no news and more share price loss. This id--t stopped all the momentum and the market is ripping. It would be in the $70’s if he just didn’t exist. He keeps playing around like there is a buyout but nobody is going to buy us out. Mo--n.
Not today but you can guarantee our share price will go down as usual. 5 years of just straight losses. Despicable.
