True or False?

I heard that several managers are receiving a huge package as "performance Bonus". True or false?

As a former Oracle M6, I can confirm that the separation economics at the management level can look very different from what many individual contributors experience.

Depending on level, tenure, circumstances of the exit and the specific package, senior managers can leave with significant severance and other compensation. In my case, after roughly 20 years with Oracle, the overall financial package associated with my departure was substantial.

One thing I would caution people about: don't assume the package received by one employee or even one M6 is the standard package for everyone. Oracle has a lot of discretion in how these situations are structured, and there can be meaningful differences based on tenure, level and the circumstances surrounding the separation.

So, when you hear that some managers are walking away with sizable packages, I wouldn't automatically dismiss it as rumor. From my own experience, substantial management-level packages absolutely exist.

I'm an IC but it appears that even when they eliminate well over 50% of your team and you tell them you must be outstanding cause why would Oracle not lay me off too if I wasn't. But, no, I only got meets expectations....

I put down 3 because I don’t give a flying F, maybe I should’ve put down 2…. I don’t know what they’ve rated me and I don’t care. Hoping to be part of the list in the next few months. I’m close to retiring.

@OP 2 things: First thing I heard was that all managers shared with their SVP's their list of employees and how they are stack ranked, and now being reviewed by HR. This is for North America. 2nd thing, everyone, and I mean everyone who use to get a 5, the highest score on their review was scored down to at least a 4 if not 3 which is a meets. So, I have to think that no managers are getting super bonuses especially if their overall team is not meeting expectations if they are scored below a 3.
