Are H-1B full-time employees being asked to move to Global Capability Centers, and how many contractors are being hired or asked to shift in GCCs?

I have no doubt that this will happen under Rick. He’s all about cutting cost at the lives and expenses of the people who made Schwab a great company. He does not care about any of the employees. It’s all about money for him. He’s kind of like Ebeneezer Scrooge.

@bk Not b2. Depends on contract agency, but it’s getting really hard to get visas. Total numbers are about half what they were a few years ago and brown people are being actively suppressed. Who’d have thought that racists would be racist?

No. Few to none.
There are approximately 580,000 H1B active visas (USCIS). In 25 Schwab filed for 535, 36 had new employment, 116 were transferred and 383 were renewed. This includes green cards, with an average $150k salary.
The GCC positions are filed in India. There may be a reduction in H1B applications over time, but GCCs are more about a hostile administration and uncertainty in the visa and travel processes. Wages in India will also be a fraction of the US figures.
