Repayment of relocation benefits

Anyone have experience with repayment of relocation benefits for resigning less than 12 months after relocation?

I know a guy that was 28/28 and quit. A couple of months later he started receiving reminders to pay back the $23,000 tax refund due to EM tax equalization payments. He eventually responded that he was no longer an employee and did not plan to give any of his tax refund to EM. Eventually the reminder emails stopped and EM never tried to collect.

Do experienced hires within the same city get relocation? Like someone living in Katy or further east being hired at Baytown.

Don't need to pay for shizzle. They will sell it to collection and that will be the end of it. Nobody can get that money from you
