This one time, at band camp… I stuck my flute… in a place where you definitely won’t be playing any Bach.

@OP Intel is such a trash company. The management is allowed to make decisions that ruin the company for it's employees. Management does not care about anyone below them and will sc--w you over at any cost. Intel HR likes to drive around the parking lot recording people with their dash cams in an attempt to fire them for time clock fraud. Intel isn't what is once was. Horrible decisions made my management has ruined what could be a good thing.

Which ever company gets more h1b population than citizen. That company will become nobody soon

IBM, Intel and soon meta.

There are good h1b engineers but there are bad ones as well especially from andhra. Once the number of andhra population in a company exceeds that company is doomed. They bring their sister , brother and any one who can breath

Finding Job for brother, wife , cousin , sister is common.

Have illicit relation ship with boss or leaders in power

Buying investment property with boss or his relatives.

Publishing papers which has no economic value . Bit for the extra 3k. Where you put your org lead as co author or forced to add him or in a patent.

Throw someone else under bus during layoff so that the core team who does illicit activity is not caught or outed.

Investment in companies that will give max handout to a friend or a partner.

Many of my friends . Made sure their wife who is unqualified to be interviewed internally by finding the hiring manager name and bombarding them with the resumes or ask their friend to hire their wife.

A Hispanic manager who did not know RTL design was made manager of RTL division because she used to steal credit work which juniors did.

Another manager and the Hispanic ran business on the side never come to office. Barely worked for 10 hours.

Some folks actively shipping jobs to their friends contracting company.

Buying parts or materials from their friends company. Or rumor has it.

All this is 5+ years back story. Some are still with the company at present

Small time.. but my co worker in Chandler would always order-pilfer away hardware (NuCs and monitors) and take them home for his family and relatives.
Wanted to turn him in but decided not to.

@jy agreed but not just Intel. IBM is notorious for it and why they are going down the tubes.

I’ve seen some really questionable hiring practices where people seem to favor friends, relatives, spouses, or people from the same community (Indians and Bangladeshis). I’ve even known someone who basically helped get his wife hired, and they openly joked about how little work she had to do while still getting a steady paycheck. They saw it as a way to boost their household income. What bothers me is the culture of treating a job with little actual work as the ultimate win. Just collect a paycheck and keep your head down. I’ve seen similar attitudes toward government jobs back in India and Bangladesh, where job security and a steady salary can matter more than actually having much to do. That mindset just isn’t how I see work. Literally their words not mine.

The frequent mentioning of Def Met is very annoying. It reminded me of the nightmare when working in LTD in Oregon. Def Met group is disgusting, its manager is a crook.

Could you please stop it!!
