Rebadging Date?

Is there any date or month when the rebadging is expected to happen? Which organization(s) will be moved?

@bx According to the interwebs (I can't cite any sources, this came from Copilot) usually those that decline rebadging are treated as an involuntary separation since the original company no longer offers that job.

However, knowing the current trends of saving as much money as possible (unless is to pay $4M retention fees to execs just to turn around and fire them anyway), I wouldn't count on it.

The last time there was a rebadging with Infosys, it coincided in time with a VSP, and originally those eligible for retirement were offered no severance. VZ balked when it was threatened with lawsuits and provided those employees that chose to decline the rebadge and retire with the same severance terms than those accepting the VSP. There's no VSP this time.

In general, these types of rebadge events are "announced" 30-90 days before they become effective. This allows for transition planning, HR discussions, etc. Nobody can "make you" join another company, however, usually if you choose not to join, it would be considered voluntary separation, meaning, no severance. Of course, this is up to the original company - they could give severance if they wanted, but it can set a precedent they don't want to set.
