@c4 There were 250 times more reported failures from Verizon customers than from either T-Mobile or AT&T and to you that indicates that it’s equally likely that the root of the outage was AT&T or T-Mobile. LOL! 😂

@bx and just as likely the opposite is true and the 13k reports (not 15) were VZW customers not reaching the other two. I would agree it points to vzw having more subscribers oos but this why no one uses down detector as any type of means of proof. All we factually know is all three carriers had an outage at the same time
@a5 Where did you get the silly idea that the people in charge would be held accountable? They will be promoted for achieving synergies and efficiencies and some hapless ICs who had nothing to do with the outage will be laid off leading to further efficiencies.
In all fairness, Dan said that he’s abandoning the “best network” strategy and he kept his promise!
@bp AT&T and T-Mobile have about 500 reported cases each while Verizon has about 15,000 on DownDetector. More than likely some AT&T and T-Mobile subscribers were trying to call Verizon subscribers but couldn’t get through.

@OP I dont think they stated the reason for the outage but both AT&T and T Mobile were also both affected. The Aug 8th outages affected all of the big three carriers
These things, human error, are to be expected when you provide the bestest, fastest, securest and most least reliable network in the nation. The good news is that human error can be stopped once humans are removed from the earth. I mean equation.
No humans, no errors.
