Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

We're coming up on 3 years.....Sooooo

The history of the CTO or CIO or CDIO or GDIO or whatever title they go by.
Ratnakar 2024-Present
Amish Patel 2023-2025
Anil Bhatt 2019-2021
Ed Smith 2018-2019
Tim Skeen 2017-2018
Tom Miller 2014-2018
Andrew Lang 2008-2013
And each one of them brings in their own cronies.  Then they stop what were doing and we start all over with their agendas.  We never finish anything.
Meanwhile, more and more RIF's happen in the lower ranks, while they all walk away or get fired and leave with their golden parachutes.

It all started to go off the rails when they hired Tom Miller. Imagine thinking a guy from Coca Cola was going to come here and do things right. Great job Gloria!!

I predict he will implement a reorg to give himself another 12 months to muddy the message. It's management 101 here. If you can't deliver, reorg. He'll probably need to do it soon to avoid carryover into the 2027 finances.

Rajeev was never a CTO or CIO. He was the Cheif Digital Officer that reported to the CTO.

@em Spot on! The investors probably already know that but they will go along for the ride as long as possible as it makes them wealthier. But somehow they always know when to get out and sell those shares before things go sideways, belly up. For the average joe shareholder, they will lose out, lose monies. Also, the C-Suite executives will win out as well, leaving these failed corporations in the dust that were counting on the AI bo-m. But these executives will also sell their shares in advance, somehow magically knowing exactly when to do so. And also leave with their golden parachute payouts, as they exit.

But those who will lose are the employees and customers of these corporations when they fail. And many 401k’s will be drained and a lot of small time day traders will be ruined.

The US stock market is currently propped up on AI hopium. When these fevered AI dreams prove to be another iteration of snake oil, the economy will crash. The Wall Street elite will exit before most of the carnage.

@bh I'm really sorry that I have to tell you this but "AI everything and hope for the best" is going to work.

Absolutely clueless leadership on the IT side. AI everything and hope for the best. Hopefully RAT and the people he brought on will jump ship soon.

Seems like they are trying to bury this thread below others fast! Must be a reason.

Wow! Some contractors stay at one place longer. When is America going to wale up and realize that we are completely being ripped off by all these Ivy League Sn-t-nosed Brats?!

This isn’t the way capitalism was ever intended. Capitalism is meant for good quality products and good quality services being provided to a customer base at a fair acceptable price and in doing so pay employees a food and fair acceptable wage. When all of these things occur, we have a good GDP/GNP
and our economy thrives and unemployment is low and everyone wins.
