Workplace excellence often ends up meaning:
looking good
sounding good
being visible
being “aligned”
being socially smooth
fitting the corporate narrative
participating in culture, meetings, rituals
It’s about optics and behavior inside the system.
Work excellence usually means:
delivering results
doing the hard work
solving the real problems
carrying the load
improving the bottom line
It’s about actual output and impact.
My personal integrity demands that, when my employer has no integrity towards me, I drop my integrity level to match.
@cr Let’s be honest with ourselves. Most employees no longer care about workplace excellence or work excellence. The idea that “you get what you pay for” is probably a more accurate reflection of modern corporate culture. With everyone operating under a no‑fault contract, there’s no real sense of obligation on either side.
And when senior leaders emphasize workplace excellence rather than true work excellence, that alone tells the whole story.

Bootlickers come in different sizes, the ones who do all the work to kiss a-s and the ones who’re constantly managing up -/ maintaining optics / brand / visibility. Like wgaf! This sh-t corporate company has no loyalty to you. Do work you’re assigned to your best ability because of your own personal integrity. Hopefully times will change and these large corporations go extinct. With that , the end of the corporate employee.
I believe you've mistaken "work excellence" with "bootlicking". Only bootlickers care about working hard and solving problems for cr-ppy BoA.
