Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Got the news today

So today was when everyone was officially given notice if they got the position . So turns out the people who been here the Logan’s and didn’t take the package and applied for the rtm role were not offered the job. Big surprise . Instead the ones with less time with the company were the ones who received the position. Company is totally trying to get rid of the old timers with the big salaries. I believe once the company gets settled in they will
Also get rid of all the ones who got the position who clearly weren’t qualified since the beginning . It’s all a scheme to get rid of the old timers. Shady company

@qa We have only so much time. We get talked to if we go over time. We are not supposed to get OT unless there’s a holiday or a situation happening. What don’t you understand?!
We have 60 cases, we have about an hour and a half or almost two hours.
You are not on a time schedule, right? Or are you, I don’t know. You probably just give orders out, snap your fingers and expect it all to be done. We’re working all these back to back deliveries, Trax, display changes and request from you guys. It’s very time consuming and never enough of it.
You all keep putting us MOW’S down.
I’m one that changes the displays, works the deliveries and getsTrax. There’s probably a lot more doing this than you think.
Please stop!✋

@a8 If you were laid off they actually give this info to you in your parting separation day email. It will show/go by position, ages & total only and it includes entire nation’s numbers……if they don’t you ask for it and they won’t blink an eye…

I just get happy when my ftow show up to work. If they actually work the whole orders it's a bonus. Working backstock doesn't ever happen so you can't expect that. Most of these ftows will never write a good order because that is more cases to throw.

@mh a lot of the ftow we have are complete useless. They’re horrible . They just gave them the position because they needed it filled but half of the order writers don’t know how to do good orders. They can’t even work backstock and they expect them to do better orders when they clearly don’t have it in them .

I’ve been in the company for only a couple years and have been told yesterday that I wasn’t considered for RTM & will get package. There’ll be less territories but much bigger (more stores). Plus geography is also why I wasn’t picked. Combining SR & RMS together as RTM for only a few percentage pay increase isn’t worth it at all. Imagine doing the selling, the hiring/firing merchandisers, coaching and giving them annual/mid annual reviews, picking up the SSR’s slack, the call outs or possible quitting, which will force you to go out and do the work. On top of that, working say 45-60+ hours and not getting paid for it is BS. I don’t work for free, I get what I work. It’s not going to get better and they will eventually years to come go the warehouse route. Many people are very delusional & naive about where the company is going. Many stores I’ve encountered tell me how lousy Nabisco is. They don’t care about productivity or customer service, only about saving hours, not accomplishing the work, the back stock, siding with SSR’s for their laziness, etc. They only care about pitcher. If the company wants to have that reputation, then they should end the DSD era and go warehouse or telesales. The LTO’s are doing terrible, lack of rotation due to lazy people, caring about reaching your number than the back room situations, etc; is a big fat joke. Don’t forget about states changing their food stamp policies to not buy junk food and going healthy. I don’t care what anyone says, this is a huge step to go warehouse and the relationship between the SSR & RTM is gonna be worse than it is now, especially with the stores. It’s a broken system.

@fb the real reality of it is, the DSD business is downsizing in order to prepare for its exit.

@f2 You must be one of those pathetic, lazy POS that don't know your a-s from a hole in the ground. Got participation trophy's just for attending, so your little feelings didn't get hurt because you were a loser, but your mommy didn't want to face it. Guess who's gonna be "discarded?" All the people that were "picked" for RTM. Your days are numbered. This is round 1. There will be more "discardings." Can't wait until you discover all the hidden little annoying things this job entails. If you think they are gonna pay you to do Pitcher from your car, watch movies in your car, not throw freight or write orders, and loaf around, you're gonna be surprised. The free rides are over.

@dg I think you are confusing the word fired with discarded. Discarded can also mean forced to step down… Read a book sometime.. f’n clown

@de Look at the post before mine A--hat, you know the post where the person is "giving their perspective," the post that says sales reps were fired per that A--hat's perspective. My God how many d-mb fu--s work here, Jesus!

@cg You're an id--t! No one was fired. The position was eliminated. Even if they applied for RTM, but did not get the position, they were not fired. Eliminating 2 positions company wide is more atune to a layoff, not a firing. This is why you're either green, and have no idea what you are talking about, or you're a merchandiser, and have no idea what you are talking about. Educate yourself, and STFU!

My perspective is that many old-timers are burnt out due to all the sacrifice, stress, and hard work over the years. Now that much of their passion has been crushed by this company, they are easy to discard. They probably have lower pitcher app usage, lower DMI recording and maybe don’t hit their numbers like they used to. They’re tired so they were fired!!! It’s very sad.

My experience has been different. Seems as if out of the candidates they chose the longest tenured employees. Granted none of them were more than 5ish years.

They always keep some old timers around to prevent getting sued

That's the main reason for restructures to get rid of a majority of the long term employees.

Same thing happened over here . The new reps with about 2-3 years received the position. And the reps on my team with over 20+ years received the call that they weren’t getting the position and will leave the company with the package . Funny how some applied up to 5 positions and none of them were offered
