Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Aug 5th Earnings - 25% drop

Another earnings beat but shares opened the day down -25%

What exactly is Leahy selling Ai wise

Saved Millions to lose Billions with all these layoffs and internal changes.

Shares were over $200 two years ago. $255 in April of 2024

Shares are down mainly due to profit numbers not hitting investor expectations and being flat.

Got to raise margins on quotes but careful not to raise too quick or too much.

They don't care how much you make or about you or your family.

CDW shares can go to $0 and Leahy and team wouldn't need to work another day in their lives.

They're replacing us with new naive fresh faces that won't experience what we have for at least 4-5 years. Best we can do is let then know the reality so they're aware as they seem to want to create internal tension.

We're not all one big family. Can't even trust your manager or anyone.

The wrong Leahy is still walking the earth.

Poor Mr. Leahy

If leadership really cared like they act like they do...they'd cut thier own pay and forego stock options and bonuses instead of pay cuts, outsourcing, and mass layoffs. People have mortgages, kids, families, bills, etc and they don't have the luxury of buying $10+ million beachfront homes in Cali.

They lie and gaslight their own workforce...at the expense of customers as well. Shows that they don't put the customer first but rather the almighty dollar.

I'm dumping all my shares. Dividend isn't much and I don't see shares coming back anytime soon as these d-mb people in charge keep doubling down with tarded decisions.

As for me...I'm working as little as possible. They get what they pay for and that's me at 50%
Since commissions are worse and worse...no urge to try to squeeze customers for more margin when it doesn't impact my paycheck much. I see many others doing the same.

I'd document and save everything as evidence and keep that in your back pocket for ammo in case your manager or that brown noser try any cr-p with you.

HR is not your friend. They're there to protect CDW and mitigate any potential legal issues.

If you contact them.... do everything anonymously so they can't trace your number. If you email...create a new Gmail Outlook or Yahoo so you can provide evidence. Remove any info you send that might be used to trace back to you.

Lots of manager's don't do anything already and are a net drain on CDW shares so that manager deserves fired. The behind kissing AM also needs to go.

@1f2 my coworker currently controls everything on the team. The SM allows it. Has anyone tried filing anonymous HR complaints?

@10e Don’t forget, selling a pipe dream, bringing that SE along for fun, drinks and maybe some retro video gaming or go-karting action to boot, they will need that partner, HPE, Cisco or Dell to pay for the drinks, dinner & entertainment. We know CDW won’t pay for it! That money goes in their pocket!

Quit before CPQ, GTM, book transitions, and SF taking over for SPS.

Current leadership is more interested in control than making $ since they already get paid the same if not more year after year plus all the other perks they get.

Anyone tenured either complained on Teams calls or kept thier mouth shut to not ruffle feathers and be blacklisted.

Anyone with any type of brain function knows that slowing everything down and putting more red ra-e between the AM and getting things turned around for customers quickly.

In a world where money buys college degrees regardless if undergrad or MBA etc...education no longer equals intelligence as can be witnessed with the continuous wrong decisions being made. It's like Leahy and team are purposely trying to tank CDW.

The training they had on switching everything to SF from SPS was just as bad as everything else they are doing.

They only thing Leahy and Team arw currently good at is wasting profits and re-inventing the wheel over and over thinking that will miraculously carry them until they can party during the 2028 Olympics.

They should have 6 months to turn things around...

Weekly updates showing what steps they are taking.

End of 6 months...fired for performance with no severance or anything.

We are accepting failure now from the top but blame the coworkers making 100x less that they are costing shareholders billions of $

They've failed for years and are still posing for pics with all the interns they're replacing people with.

It's really really hard being a bottom feeder. This whole sector has issues, most stem from over AI hype without anything substantial being materialized. Now the top-dawgs are self-funding and fulfilling the top end of the hype cycle, which means its down to player players out there like us, Accenture, Deloitte, CAP, and everything else in-between to "show" what AI actually does to the top and bottom line. Well, considering all the capital and data center bloat, Claude and other tools that just cannibalize the opportunity, to basically scraps that must somehow turn into a pile and piles of gold... Now get off your a-s and sell a pipe dream, bring a SE along for fun, drinks and maybe some retro video gaming or go-karting action to boot!

Um, but we need Managers of, Senior Managers, Senior Directors. How else will we know the pecking order?

Each additional layer of middle management adds fixed salary costs without directly contributing to revenue generation, increasing the organization’s fixed cost base and potentially reducing operating leverage efficiency

Getting rid of hard working (many tenured) employees and throwing them away like they are garbage, just to lower "expenses" and then calling it a "restructuring" is no way to create true value in a company. No matter how great the company makes their happy social media posts look, they are destroying peoples' lives. Clearly they DON'T CARE.
So now... basically, you've either been dumped by CDW or you are continually having to look over your shoulder - "Will I be next?" as you take on increased workload.
What a toxic work environment! I keep asking, who (knowledgeable) will be left to actually DO the work? and Won't the customers notice?
Maybe karma will catch up with these people some day.
Best advice for today: Find an alternate source of income.

Maybe that's why a lot of tenured people left or were let go.
Less people to remember how things were.
Those left are trying to ride things out.

Things feel different though. The 5 year span can be studied in business schools.

I see on LinkedIn, VP's patting themselves on the back for their teams revenue growth.

Celebrating as shares slide as margins are decrease. Celebrating as those who grew that revenue get paid less.

Gaslighting as shares trend lower. During working hours on a Friday par for course. He might as well be out playing golf.

If they want shareholders to hold stock...
They better raise dividend % higher than the CD interest banks charge and higher than the current rate of inflation.

Why should I continue to hold a depreciating asset where inept leadership keeps making the wrong moves???

Having mass layoffs but then hiring new interns doesn't do anything. Why layoff then hire...just leave those spots empty until things turn around!!

What are they doing to turn around the stock????

Again, beating numbers from last year that were garbage anyway isn't impressive. Keep on putting lipstick on the pig. There's a reason Al is leaving and I don't blame him.

CEO has a good track record of ruining things (just look at her marriage and where her ex is).

How many lives does she have to negatively impact while piling up $. How much $ is enough for her.

Her and her accomplices... they got rich and are getting richer while tanking shares causing Sales AM's to juice margins to make up for the reduced compensation plan they also put in place to cut costs.

Do customers want to pay more to make up for CDW's internal failures.

Maybe don't employ useless non existent Directors that literally no one knows what work they do. Maybe employ managers that actually understand commonsense business principles. Maybe have VP's that care and can solve issues instead of hide them and cutting people's pay while increasing their own.

When people look to research investing in CDW... they'll see this site.

Look how earnings were beat but shares tanked again by 10% because investors aren't buying the same repeated regurgitated BS spewed by leadership.

Too much social time that can be seen on LinkedIn.

Get off LinkedIn and start getting back to work!!!!!! No wonder everything and everyone is so slow...they're on LinkedIn all day posting about free lunches and happy hours.

This is the inflection point, all uphill from here! /s
We will double down on AI investments and become a truly innovative "customer 0" /s

Showing the world how it's done! Next earnings call, CL will give her pre-written statement via a built-in-house AI just like the DXC CEO, then the world will know what is possible! /s

On a day and in a week the whole market is up too!

They need to double dividends!!!

What value is being provided to shareholders. Stock is stagnant and declining in trend over the last two years.

Needs more share buybacks by CDW and increased dividend.

Why should I continue to hold or add shares???

LeeHee..you reading this? Lizzy? Noon?

No more photo ops with interns...go turn around the company and it's shares!!!
