There was this one exec, mousy-looking guy, who had a knack for landing in Webex right before layoffs hit. Twice my team ended up in his org, and both times it was the same tired pitch: "we need to improve our DevOps." Never mind that we were already running the latest tools and processes. And every single time, he'd work in a Jabber story, like he'd personally invented it.
