Saw in another thread someone mentioning layoffs this week. It’s Tuesday… anything happening? Or is this a false alarm.

@jz DE has actually made some good changes. He wants Paramount focused on quality content and more movies each year, and he got rid of a lot of the DEI BS. RTO was definitely a bad move, though.
@xq it’s a good kinda hurt. Tools are useful and serve a purpose, unlike the many people with fake jobs at this company.

Why is Finance so top heavy? So many SVPs, VPs, Controllers, CFOs, etc. This makes no sense.
@mc on a summer friday with half staff gone or on vacation ? . that would be a mess . what's the procedure - emails or meetings and what divisions ?
Maybe the Caribbean remote workers will FINALLY get laid off along with their mo--nic bosses.

@jm doesn't change the fact that DE doesn't know what he's doing and is only where he is because of his dad's money; layoffs would happen with or without the pending lawsuits. look at the massive wave of layoffs we had after he took over last year.

I don’t see it. Layoffs now will just give ammo to the states. Maybe some small cuts? Some teams that were holding off on hiring (expecting help from new wb) are posting jobs because they see help is not so close
