Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

At the heart of…Toxic

Good luck, BA. Starting October 1, you’ll all be reporting to one of the worst leaders at Honeywell. JP is incredibly toxic, and there’s a reason so many leaders under him have cycled out—they’re desperate to get away from his behavior and constant blowups.

BA has delivered consistent growth. Don’t be surprised if that turns into a revolving door of leadership, with people jumping ship rather than sticking around to be JP’s next tantrum target.

@r4 business genius? I needed a good laugh. He gets results through fear and screaming at people until they tell him what he wants to hear. BA and the BA team is in serious trouble once he starts making decisions

You must be wrong. JP is a business genius and was brought back to Honeywel to be groomed as next president. The culture has nothing to do with the leaders and everythjng to do with the people. Actually be a future shaper instead of sitting on side.

In India, the following is normalized: emotional manipulation, hierarchical and authoritarian management, disregard for personal boundaries, extreme nepotism, and social exclusion in corporate settings.

VK continues to bring a specific brand of management style to his leadership team, where 24/7 availability, extreme micromanagement (“know the details”), visibility over substance, and fear-based culture are the desired traits. Every single GM and higher in every business along with most Sr Directors and many Directors live by this: some of them because that’s how they are, and others because they know they have to in order to survive. Honeywell is a company that forces you as an individual to set and maintain professional boundaries otherwise you will be chewed up and spat out.

JP is a tyrannical insecure buffoon who's playbook is:

  • Position the current state as "This is a complete turnaround situation"
  • Sometimes you have to "break it to fix it"
  • Prosecutorial behavior in all day meetings, expect him to ask a question then interrupt mid sentence with "yelling and screaming repeating the question over and over"

At first newcomers to this behavior will be unnerved and scramble to find an exit while seasoned professionals will lose confidence in his leadership and form alliances to undermine him. This will drive him into desperation to blame others while JCI grabs more share. His "Napoleonic complex" will take over and be amused at his future desperation. He is the poster child of "kiss up - kick down"

HR is sleeping if they put a person whose entire team has left HON or his team at least twice since he took Americas . Bad tempered, no business acumen, keeps pushing teams to ridiculous reviews and reporting . Can’t even stitch even two coherent sentences…God help Honeywell

One of the most useless person in BA leadership team. Has added zero value but takes credit for all the good work done by the fire team

@cy because running marathons has so much to do with running an $8B business. He is toxic. VK is taking a leaf out of DA’s playbook bringing the poison back to the boardroom.
