Whatever happened to that bullsh-t?

@gs Imagine being an HR rep and actually waking up every day to enforce this garage. What a contribution to society
Why it not applicable to contractors ? This is not fare with FTE.
@gq They were tracking VPN weekly usage back in 2010.
@mz “So it's the 4 of 6 weeks still a thing?“. I can say from my experience, I was following the “grid” (4 out of 6 weeks) and got called out. Can’t say officially, but seems if it isn’t dead, it is dying. After 9/14/26 I would bet it’s done completely
@px Again, If you hate the company you work for as bad as you say on here, then time for you to leave.
@px “Actually you do work with people like me. You just don’t realize it because either you’re part of the problem, or you’ve found the mystical happy place whereby you’re responsible for nothing while those around you are responsible for everything.”
Waking up with that victim mentality is likely impacting other areas of your life outside of work. You are your own worst enemy. Hope you figure it out sooner rather than later.
@px “Actually you do work with people like me. You just don’t realize it because either you’re part of the problem, or you’ve found the mystical happy place whereby you’re responsible for nothing while those around you are responsible for everything.”
You are delusional. I hope you get the help you need. I promise you, I have 10X the responsibility of someone like you. You will always be the problem. Best of luck to you. Walmart is hiring.

@d6 if we have the same job in the same city how are our jobs, duties, responsibilities any different just because I'm WFH due to a disability?
@gt BAC has monitored your VPN access records since at least 2007
@jc And so it the compensation! You want me back like before, adjust my pay to reflect the cost of living and stollen bonuses. Otherwise, good luck finding a replacement that will even talk to you for what you pay, unless you’re recruiting from the cashier line at Walmart to handle your multi-billion dollar deals that regulators are eager to fry you over for messing up. What I do, can easily be replicated at all other capital sources. Every single time we lose someone, the bank tries to counter their offer and fail miserably. The BOD of BAC should consider the removal of several C Suite mo--ns who are responsible for the collapse of employee morale. We only engage on the survey to keep targets off our backs for not doing them. When in reality, I’d say roughly 70% of the employees at this bank would laugh when it finally catches fire again. And make no mistake, it will catch fire when the market corrects. Especially in the corporate debt arena of the economy. Looking forward to the congressional hearings again!”
LOL. You are living in a fantasy world. Thank goodness I don’t work with people like you. If you hate your company so much, maybe time for you to go elsewhere. Can’t imagine what it must be like to wake up everyday with that victim mentality.

Why this is not applies to contractors and only applies to FTE?
It's a cull - they're looking to reduce headcount. If they actually cared about people being in the office they'd do away with legacy myWork.
I was one of the naysayers on the WPE update especially reading many bogus threads on layoffs this month, that month, or later this year. After reading the email, I told myself holy sh!t this is true. What's next???? I want to thank the people with the heads up only. The content still su@ks!!!
@hk “ and you know what? I don’t owe them any “extra” either. U want to treat ur employees like hourly clock punchers? well then that’s what u will get back. ”. That’s why you have a low level job and will never progress.
@hg stop screeching Karen we hear you loud and clear
@he and you know what? I don’t owe them any “extra” either. U want to treat ur employees like hourly clock punchers? well then that’s what u will get back.
@hg you know this is anonymous, right? BofA can’t see ur a$$ kissing here, save it for the office.
@hf It’s over. WFH is over. Show up. Do your job on the rules the company provides. Period. If you don’t like, check out the competitors. Much more stringent in office rules than BAC. My goodness people. Pretty simple.
@he no one owes anyone sh-t , the majority of us are asking when people are being more productive at home for jobs that are 70-100 pct involving diff location teammates , why should any employer care as long as work is done on their end? As long as their company sees profits. It’s a transaction relationship , I give the bank my time and productivity and they give me my salary. Why does it matter to them where I work? What if flexibility is very important to families? Isn’t the bank supposed to be family friendly at least according to their hr guidelines and all? Just because the system is what it says it is now, does not mean it should stay that way. In the past when people have come together they have brought down systems. Shame on you for siding with corporate above your fellow teammates
@hb People remember, Bank of America does not owe you your job. You earn your job and continue to earn your job. No one owes you anything.
@gs No EEOC concern here. Many, many employees took major advantage of BAC’s rules and the rest of us are now paying for it. Maybe you are one of them. I have seen so much abuse and entitled attitudes similar to your post. The Covid pandemic made people think they could move anywhere and keep their jobs. Those days are gone. If you are WFH, opportunities will diminish. Glad to see they are requiring 90 day renewals for a medical reason to work from home. That policy will help weed out those taking advantage of the system. And there are many. Zoom out and take look at what you are saying in your original post. You are upset because you got away with “a lot” and they are finally catching up to you and requesting more proof. If you have a valid reason for a doctor to tell the bank that you need to work from home, there is nothing wrong with that doctor reaffirming that every 90 days. The likely reason someone would worry about that aspect of a 90 day renewal from a doctor to work from home, is they are afraid their doctor will eventually object. That is not a bank issue.
@gp there was nothing in the email that mentioned a specific amount of hours in. They are hedging with making it your usual workday.
Wow, this comes out after the employee survey results..what a coincidence!!! A great place to work!
Did your email say 8 hours? Got one saying full in office workday - part of the day and badging in and leaving will not count. Does that mean vpn monitoring? Anyone in HR with details here?
Just got the email. I would encourage those in an office to file with the eeoc. This is clear discrimination of a person based on if they have full walls around them or not. Some others bring up great points around leaving early bc you're sick or something happens. I wouldn't doubt if the training tomorrow says you have to make it up! I was here pre 2020 and I can say this place was different and this micro management was not like this and guess what, people were pretty happy and got their job done. During 2020 through now this place continues to break eeoc and federal laws... threatening your job if you don't make certain medical decisions, excluding people for their medical choices, making it nearly impossible to accommodate people with disabilitiesand families, every 90 day reviews for standing disabilities etc.. It makes me sick. Of course they waited until after the employee engagement survey.
Just received email about two consecutive days
How will they know? I feel like trying to track this many employees VPN would be a data nightmare … like if I have to leave early for whatever reason, how would they even know?
Just got the email today for no consecutive days on the office, must be in 8 hours or it doesn't count and those with an office in 4 days. They want you to quit.
Mostly empty offices on Thursday’s
@dd congratulations on retirement. I’m following shorty and excited to be out of this box
Which corporate Karen came up with this genius idea!!
@ee Some LOBs implemented this policy when they said it was going in effect earlier in the year.
@ed so you want the prohibition of wfh applied across the bank? What about teammates whose only job is to interact with offshore? What about working parents? I thought the bank was all about empowering women? Oh right, that’s all theater, man / woman who cares , they need all the bodies to warm the seats.
Oh boo hoo! Many teammates are PROHIBITED from ANY work from home! The bank is doing whatever it can to slash headcount and encourage AI. Part of that is we-ponization of benefits and revocation thereof.
We’ll find out soon enough. Bet you it’s gonna be the first email in our inbox tomorrow like a good morning message more like a fu@k you mo--n slaves here is the new order to be followed
@dr no its coming and I cant say more about that. I hate the fk out of this too and Im rather upset over it being treated like a child because I work morning noon and night sometimes, even weekends. But I can't be trusted to be remote two days in a row unsupervised. Really has me irked enough to reactivate my external job profile.
What do they consider a full day?
