Has anyone noticed "groups" of people walking warehouse and yards lately? These are not management or even Pepsi employees. So much for transparency. All seems hush hush.

@jz Pepsi is a marketing company. Not good at operations. That’s the truth. Putting operations into a company that solely deals with logistics is a smart move
Labor biggest liability for Pepsi. This makes perfect sense. Someone else to deal with the wage inflation pressures, work comp, benefits, accidents, injuries, union BS. Smart move.

3PL is the way to go and super smart business move! Don't worry about who is walking the yard, you will not be there much longer or you'll work for the 3PL.
This will not go well. A majority, almost 30%, of my negative numbers are from DSD outs, shorts, or they just cannot get drivers to stick around. These are for large customers national in scale. This is a one way ticket to more sales declines and bad customer relations. This company will spend a dollar now to save a nickel.
How about the Metter, Georgia dist. Warehouse? Any info?
3PLs such as capstone logistics come in and take over the warehouse operations. They hire from top to bottom. Supervisors down to the cleaning crew. Happening at frito lay and bottling facilities across the country.

@ak well I will say this much. Were in S. California. Are you privy to the process when these 3PL take over? Do they bring in a whole new crew? Or keep the present?

What location are you at? Mostly likely you’re warehouse is going to be run by a 3PL. Most if not all warehouses will go to 3PL.
That’s been going on for a couple of years now. Pick a fake reason for explaining their presence, insurance provider etc.
