@k0 I had a boss just cut off access to the company systems for a wfh employee. I really couldn’t believe it, and he had called out HR rep and she supported him on it. I thought that was really cold.
@pn When you work from home the phone rings about an hour before shift ends it’s bad news.

@pn
You get to enjoy long weekend.
I was laid off after working my Friday shift. Hit with a hey do you have time for a quick meeting? Yeah today is your last day sorry.
@fb
Lawsuit for what 🤷
Lumen can lay you off at anytime. Your boss needs to notify you with the news. Yes! You have been warned wether you responded or not.
@fb Proving that a layoff was a disguised discriminatory act rather than a true corporate restructuring is often difficult unless you find clear evidence (such as a replacement being immediately hired for your exact role)
@fb probably not if you are getting paid while on maternity leave.
Lawsuits waiting to happen
I was on maternity leave.
Pretty common, sadly. But for the rest of us, dont forget to give your 2-weeks notice before quitting!
heck no, thats the Lumen way
I think they are looking to see who is on maternity leave that they can lay off next.
You now get to extend your vacation!
