Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any hope of another AEOI opportunity?

Just one more opportunity to AEOI please! - Mike, ELT and HR are you listening? If most of us knew how bad it was going to be we would have put our hands up right away. Some of us need the cushion before making our next move.

@OP One has to be coming, no way they can get to the # of cuts they promised with only PIP related cuts.

18 years in and I’d serious consider it. Chevron is not what it used to be. Money is good yea and so if the 401k but man. It’s really all about what people say about you and less of the work you do.

A look back (if such things are still performed/findings acted on), will show that AEOI was possibly the worst decision/program ever deployed by Chevron.
As I understand it, this led to a lot of talent “on the fence” to choose EOI in following rounds. I try not to be too bitter about the lost opportunity to learn from these people and gain the trust of the clients that they were supporting before just being forced on them…. Still enjoy what I get to work on day to day. My manager… so far… has been successful in deflecting the distractions from the team to keep us focused and productive.

They probably won’t offer AEOI again. Too many people would leave with the survey results. Probably gunna just lose people via PIPs

@ac I think the op is not asking for a layoff, voluntary leave with severance. I understand where they are coming from before anybody says oh just leave. It’s not always easy like that. I think there would be a mass exodus with lots of volunteers!

Can we not? Most of us don't want the stress of going through another layoff cycle so soon after the last.
