To no surprise, VERP has made its annual appearance within Emerson. And, from where I stand, there does not appear to be that many older employees left at Emerson. I suspect, at least at my location, Emerson will not get the response that they need. Hence, in keeping with Emerson's long-standing practice of cooking the accounting books for appearance sakes, I would not be surprised if we see layoffs somewhere around mid-September.

@w6 and you know this while the auditors don't? Again, no one believes the raving lunatic spouting conspiracies in the corner. There are legitimate merits they should be lit up on don't dilute that.
@kh
you obviously have not been around Emerson for very long. if you had, you would have experienced Emerson's past escapades. they cook the books better than most.

Explanation: The US is doing great, but the rest of the world is not.
I suspect there will be layoffs, but this isn't an enron style book cooking it's also not necessarily great for any number of reasons but let's not damage our positions by being exaggerative and reactionary. Criticize it on its merits. They exist. Don't invent a grievance that makes you easy to disregard
