First, here's a bit about me: I took this job during a difficult period of my life - hired on in May, started in July. I'm a web developer still early in my career but due to burnout, lack of discipline, and some mental health issues, I wasn't able... — read more

Thank you State Farm ….

Unmanageable workloads
I too have more work than I used to, but I could never say that I now do double or triple workloads like some people here do. Quite simply, such an overload would be physically and mentally impossible for me to bear, even though I've always had a... — read more
Leadership is destructive
Radical changes are needed in my opinion. Can anything be fixed here without radical changes? I doubt it. It is difficult to understand why the leadership thinks so little about the future of State Farm.
PLCC
What even is this role? Why am I helping a new staffer understand what a named peril is? I thought I was an underwriter not a baby sitter. They didn’t mention this in training. Is production a better fit if I came from a high networth team?
Marketing is a joke!!!!!!
Marketing is a disaster and it just keeps getting worse. The executives fly all over to be at every shoot, wine and dine with the agencies, go on the agency trips and yet expect their employees to be at their beck and call. If you are friends with... — read more

Allstate reporting $1 bill in losses for June. If it's any indication, SF is probably doing just as bad or worst. I know we don't report as a mutual but I am really concerned about my job. Everyone is super tight lipped.
Where the He-l is my 401K?
It's the "week of July 16" by my calendar and I do not have access to my 401K as promised after the Vanguard move. WTF is going on. I am retired and my 401K is very important
People leave bad managers
I think more and more that among the many reasons why people leave here, the biggest reason are the bad managers they had. Very possible, right?
Developing skills
I don't get the impression that folks are really happy with how much they were able to learn here. Or am I wrong? Some will say that the individual is solely responsible for learning, but a lot depends on the environment that encourages skillset... — read more

I hope that there are still managers here who manage in the right way, by really trying to get the best out of people. What I see a lot instead is taking advantage of the employees' fears of losing their jobs in order to squeeze them. Anyway, I... — read more
