This company does not learn from its mistakes

I really liked the post where someone mentioned that the same problem with understaffing also happened in 2018. Yes, and only three years after that we are facing the same problem again. Is it possible that the company learned nothing from that... — read more

Interesting....

2 tenured VPs announced their retirement today. They get their packages and buy-outs first before the minions are run off! Maybe just a coincidence....maybe not. Time always tells the truth! More to come as promised!

We need more staff

They don't see that SF under urgently needs more people??? I am almost certain that the company will very quickly lose a lot of people, whom they probably do not want to lose, if they do not address the problem of understaffing. I'm on the verge of... — read more

1 year anniversary of separation from SF!

I was terminated unjustly 1 year ago already. How do I know it was unjust? Because I won my unemployment appeal! Anyhow. It’s the best thing that’s happened to me. As I sit at my new job with better, cheaper benefits at a company who isn’t looking... — read more

How long?

How long should I keep posting on this site and complain about my job without taking action to better my life? Jobs are plentiful, all companies are begging for help. A qualified person can get a new job in about 4 weeks. If I'm in a job I hate... — read more

I want to continue WFH

How low would you be willing to go with your pay to avoid RTO? I'm thinking of taking a remote job I was offered but the pay is nearly 40 percent lower than what I have now. In any normal circumstances I wouldn't even be considering this, but my... — read more

When did you lose trust in leadership?

I am almost certain that the result of an anonymous survey on how much SF employees trust leadership would show that almost no one trusts them. There are many reasons for that. I stopped trusting them the moment my colleague who was one of the best... — read more

I like my job

Good work life balance. Lots of time off. Great boss. Anyone else? No I’m not being deceptive or sarcastic.

What should I do?????

I really hate my job and I've been posting that on this website forever. I see all these help wanted signs everywhere. The grass MUST be better everywhere else. I deserve more money. I'm confused, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

How unrealistic are their expectations of you?

I sometimes think that it has to do with me, that I no longer have the motivation to work, so that I am no longer a good employee who gives 110 percent of himself. Do you ever find yourself in a self-critical phase? Then, when I think about it a... — read more

Comp changes coming

There's little difference

Name one carrier that treats its employees well. I'm betting you can't. They are all basically the same. They are top-heavy, don't have any long-term vision, offer little to no transparency, and most importantly, treat their employees like cr-p... — read more

Three years here are more than enough

I didn't think this was how I would feel only three years after starting here, but here I am. Tired and disillusioned about the "great" job I landed. I was really excited when I started but it took SF less than a year to ki-l all the excitement in... — read more

The price of "Yes man" culture at SF?

I don't know of a company that particularly values the critical thinking of its employees, but I don't know a company in this industry that values critical feedback less than State Farm does. The company has been cultivating a “yes man” culture for... — read more

What's better/ worse at GEICO?

Here I saw someone encouraging people to go to GEICO. My colleague got an offer there, but in the end he went to another company. The reason is that he didn't think it was much better there. On the other hand, I am convinced that this company values... — read more

Delta Variant

The Delta variant is taking over. Even vaccinated people r getting sick. Going into the office doesn’t make any medical sense when most employees can work from home. Last year proved that we can work remotely and meet the companies goals.

How many are waiting to quit?

Just curious on how many people are just working until they make everyone go back in the office 5 days a month? Already moved away? I have talked to several people who say they are just going to quit instead of going back to that mess/traffic?

Are the offices back open?

I'm thinking of applying to state farm but just curious if the offices are open or is it work from home?

They're going to do what they want...................

SF leadership is going to do what they want regardless of input from their employees. If you believe that, keep reading. If you don't, ignore this post. The key to being successful at SF is not necessarily agreeing with what they do rather it is... — read more

Titanic

I am burned out and tired of the lack of staffing, unreasonable workloads & expectations, technology that doesn’t work and management through fear. This appears to be the Titanic with water rushing in on the lower decks. Good luck everyone.

Well...

What you all are not getting is that they are reducing their staff via attrition. Replacement workers have been temp workers. I'm sure they will start hiring to replace the record breaking turnover in all the lower end departments. It was no mistake... — read more

Drastic career change
