It might be a surprise to you that the people who rate the company low start off as high performers, aren't recognized for their contributions, see the accolades and promotions go to colleagues who spend more time playing politics and seeking attention than actually doing work, get fed up with the cycle that never changes, then eventually leave.

You're beyond naive for thinking that low performers are the ones who actually get let go. That's true in about 20% of the cases.

I have been honest on Lenovo listens for 10 years and haven't been fired. Its run by a 3rd party company, not Lenovo. I do genuinely believe its anonymous.

Is it a surprise that people who criticize the company and feel "passed over" whike likely undercontributing also get laid off?

These are just a vanity exercise. Our team had really bad scores last year because our boss is terrible. Nothing was done about it.

Last year I didn’t take that survey seriously. Gave low marks to everything. My comments were brief and critical. Got layed off in June.

I was. And now I work for another company. It’s about as anonymous as a fa-t in an elevator
