HCSC HSAs - transferring to external HSA account

I was thinking of switching to an HSA next enrollment. Are we allowed to transfer our funds from the employer-sponsored HSA to a different service provider (like Fidelity)? I've never had an HSA so I was curious about the process.

Confirming, I did this too. The funds are yours to do wtv with, not HCSC’s. This is a bank question and potentially tax question, not HR. Payroll will only deposit to Health Equity acct tho so you would have to transfer funds to your 2nd HSA and they dictate if the bank transfer fees will be cover or charged to you.

Yes, you can transfer accumulated balances from HSA Bank (or whatever vendor HCSC is using now) to Fidelity (or any other HSA vendor you prefer). Open a Fidelity HSA account and use its balance transfer functionality. Not an HR question.

This is a question for viva engage or myHR...the layoff page? This isn't reddit.

If you are an HCSC employee you get Health Equity. I don't think that you can choose a different HSA provider.
