Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Rif's this week

Several colleagues hit with 'company wide' rifs yesterday and today. Tomorrow last day. Rifs are a fact at broadcom, even when it's not needed.

You got that right! The CA platform for observability has cost the companies (CA and Broadcom) millions and has dragged down the well-regarded Wily APM solution into near extinction and threatens the well-regarded Nimsoft server monitoring solution with the same outcome. IMS pours money into engineering yet marketing faces a huge uphill battle given the Gartner MQ for Observability, again this year, doesn't even include the Broadcom product. Pull the plug Hock and improve Gross Margin in the meantime!

IMS is where dead products go to milk the customer dry and where products go to die a slow, profitable death. Innovate slowly for large customers and milk them quickly. Hey, it works for a few years of healthy gross margin! Way to go Hock...love it as a shareholder...

Sales is pulling deals forward to cash out while they can all while pi----g off the few customers they have left.

Hey Mr. Customer, you think we F’d you before? You ain’t seen nothing yet. Oh, and by the way, your mama is fat.

Just a day in the life of HT’s minions!

IMS will be decimated by years end. It’s been poorly run by its leadership since Broadcom started buying the software companies. No one is renewing and old 5 year contracts don’t matter when it’s just shelfware. Sales is pulling deals forward to cash out while they can all while pi----g off the few customers they have left.

you're only there until they figure out a way to function without you.

And indeed the CEO likes to remind you of that every day!

The IMS division got whacked with layoffs too.

Like Hock says "easy come, easy go"

All that matters is revenue, margins and stock price

There is no such thing as a career at Broadcom ... you're only there until they figure out a way to function without you.

@a2 Not sure. It's definitely hit IMS. They keep things close to the chest. I don't know if it's rolling or not. I suspect to keep out of the WARN act they do some each week. They usually tell you wednesday and then you're gone that Friday.
