We are hearing Tara has been tasked to further reduce heads and after voluntary the target will be to consolidate duplication especially in teams that have merged eg MEA AND EUROPE. There can be some major changes at lower levels. This could re shape the whole thinking and way forward for this group. Profitable areas getting hit!

@1we R +D stands for “ research and development “ . If you look at PepsiCo R and D , it includes Food Safety, Quality Assurance .. maybe other functions.. Regulatory affairs (?) . These are not R and D . In any well functioning company these would not sit with R and D. My perspective is that here lies the problem . QA and Food safety should be 100% embedded with factory activity- not some jumped up function who lords over how PepsiCo make product . There are a gazillion people across FS /QA who do Very little other than check list / audit ready BS . There are reputable external agencies who can police this … we don’t need “ double police “ !.
I can add that many reg affairs and product developers are about for decades - it’s like Jurassic park . So time to modernise. But I wouldn’t hold my breath.
@bt some of the senior executives are good - like some of the functional leads. They can’t save the business but they are good
My only regret about taking VRP is that I won’t get to see some of the political animals get walked out. Ooh happy days…..
Every time I see a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong email from Tara, my first thought is, 'Here comes another disaster.'"
The only heads they need to cut are Ramon and his whole executive team.
The company is in trouble from years of missteps of bad management. Bad ideas are being accelerated now. Wall Street gave PEP a lot of leeway before but that is not going to be the same going forward.
