Noticed some quiet promos in streaming on the P+ side. Anyone else see these?

@19p They made sure to do it before WB came in.
@OP There were promotions in June. It wasn't a secret.
@11z i know engineers who have been promoted. there was a cycle in june
@11z, @10j
Yeah, it's a lie - not the first time they lied either. Don't they know we all talk?? We all --- collaborate!
I was talking about promotions we see across our team: Specialists becoming Senior Specialists, Managers becoming Senior Managers as well as Directors, VPs becoming Senior VP's. I did notice some that were Senior Managers across Streaming, which did raise an eyebrow, but not sure if that was from the more recent raises or that was from before as we really don't interact with that team on a daily basis. There were Specialists that became Senior Managers that was clearly preferential treatment, no doubt; it's blatant.
@y3 I haven’t seen anyone promoted in streaming recently. Are we talking engineers? Managers? Designers?
@101 January merit increases
@y3 yeah this was just a lie. i got a 7% bump before leaving the company, and they were going to try to negotiate to keep me with a much bigger bump until they found out that the offer i signed was paying higher than two promos above my role at paramount
@y3 when were people given salary increases - recently people received a 3%?
Our team was told there were no promotions and everyone was getting the standard 3% increase. The 3% would extend across the entire company. Then we found out others in different depts received more than the standard 3%! After that, we found out some people got promotions!!! This was discovered from either their slack titles or their email signatures!!! What's even worse are those are the people that should NOT have been promoted or even deserved to be promoted!!! Those were all the incompetents. How they managed to get promoted.....???? We saw this across CBS as well as Paramount.. Now all the really good & competent people are leaving and all that's left are these phonies with the nice big titles accompanied by huge paychecks who don't even have a clue what they are doing and now feel it necessary to never answer emails or do the minimal amount of work. They leave the office early and come in whenever they feel like it. The company is failing badly and these are the people they would rather compensate. I blame such bad leadership for this..
Yes to “retain talent” while people not in favor get sc--wed and get lied to in their face. Exact same thing happened during Skydance merger.
@m1 i mean i was a swe at paramount, they were paying well under market rate but it was chill because it was full remote.
@hs we have offices on Mars.
@km Really? Good for you. You are amazing.
@bk paramount isn't paying NY salaries, i moved to a hybrid role on the west coast and doubled my salary
@bk we don’t have offices in Puerto Rico??
I feel like promos have been “quiet” for a while… gone are the days of the celebratory email announcements but the promos are definitely still happening.
We should make a show called “VP Island” where 30 of our senior executive vice president directors of directing manage 1 worker to build shelters, fire and hunt food for all of them.
Never seen a company with so many managers, directors, senior directors, VPs. Suddenly Joe Schmoe is managing VP of manager of senior directors.
Why are people allowed to work from Puerto Rico and claim a NY salary?
my team can't do any hires and are concerned this merger eventually will wipe them out .. what divisions are you seeing promotions in ?
Caribbean remote workers want to be VP’s.
How? I thought we're broke.
yes
yes, there have been a few promos
