Thread regarding Honeywell Aerospace layoffs

@ew Ottawa is notorious for incorrect documentation. The auditors are steered to audit a project with the clearest documentation. I'm not sure how they have surrived this long. Auditors should be free to choose at will what project they audit rather than being directed.

EEI (engineering efficiency index) never went away in my part of Aerospace, it was just rebranded as utilization. And our organization has had ~90% written right into our goals for years. If you take your holidays and two weeks of that unlimited vacation time, you better work OT to make up for any indirect (training, meetings, HPD)

Maybe we will go back to EEI tracking again.

Direct charge billing is, easily and by far, the biggest waste of RDE money in the company. We waste at least 25% of our RDE dollars due to direct charge. Between mis-assigning people to projects randomly so they have hours to bill and setting up/tracking/closing charge codes most people waste at least a day a week producing nothing.

@OP by the way, in my area we are expected to have 85%+ direct charge utilization. Just be ready for a similar metric in your area to arrive soon.

Do you actually trust what your management says? A serious question, not sarcasm.

From my perspective management has been very deceptive. I've outright caught my managers in lies directly to my face. I would laugh at them and refused to do incorrect work or work that had incorrect documentation.

I laughed at every all-hands meeting when the "brass" would spew their bullcr-p line, " We have an aggressive approach to grow and sustain the business". WHAT A PREPOSTEROUS STATEMENT! They are guessing, they have no clue. at all
