Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

New WPE changes Sept 14

I heard the original announcement - 3 non consecutive days for cubes, 4 days in office for offices, attest to all day - is being made next week with start date of Sept 14. HR previewed the announcement for HR employees this week.

We don’t even have cubes on many of the floors at OBP. Our floor is entirely hotel seating and is at 140% capacity. Unless you have specific in-office days assigned to employees it is not mathematically possible.

My department is lucky, we have assigned cubes and assigned offices. Does this mean people in assigned cubes come in three days a week and people in assigned offices come in four days a week? I guess we will find out next week if the latest rumors are true.

They are already out there celebrating the 2026 ESAT results , which are about to be shared. And , yes , once again, they wait until the survey closes to roll out something that would result in negative ESAT responses- very disappointing how the top execs coerce ESAT participation while holding back draconian announcements. No courage from these execs. There is, indeed, a distinction between being an executive and being a leader… and BofA could be such a great institution if they sought leaders for the exec roles.

The other thing that is going to happen is location strategy. If you are not in a ‘deemed’ location for your business you’ll need to move

So everyone is going to take 3 hour lunches now…I mean as long as your laptop is there right?

@aq You can't WFH on consecutive days. Most associates come in Mon, Tues, Thurs. WFH on Wed and Friday.

@af Vacation/benefit time days are considered WFH days so plan accordingly. You take off Friday, you have to come in to the office on Monday.

@av I was told the same - communication next week to start in September.

I’m not sitting in that GD junk office all day long when there isn’t anything to do that is spelled out in my job description as my role/responsibility. Not chance in he11… I’d rather work at McDonalds than sit there and listen to those smug little used car salesmen chumps. On days when it’s busy, no issue whatsoever. But kiss my @&& if they think otherwise. I’ll be having lunch with the headhunter who keeps emailing me for the competition immediately.

This is just as true as any other WPE thread that pops up every week

@af if true this makes no sense especially with the recent consolidation of space. does that mean nobody can come in Tuesdays and Thursdays?

When you say cubes are 3 non-consecutive days, is that also the case for assigned cubes or only if you are working in flex-space cubes?
