Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

I wish I would have taken the VSP offer also. The only reason I did not take it was due to the supposedly separation date was September 1st for those that took the VSP. But then Centene came back and said we're going to give you the option to determine when your separation date is.... That was so not fair but it is what it is.....and now here we are.....

There will not be another VSP. They are now moving to involuntary layoffs.

CNC VSP is better than other companies I worked for; people around here cry to much and have been pampered I guess. Grow up people! I will not regret taking VSP cause I decided to leave and NOT someone else deciding for me.

It's a calculated risk to take the VSP.
Sure, they can stagger the end date, so you don't get out immediately, but it's a much heftier bag $$$ than with just regular severance, alone.

Obviously everyone's situation is different, so you have to do what's best for you.

But usually?
When a company offers you $$$ to leave, TAKE IT.
Because it means they're hurtin' for $, and the next offer won't be as $weet as the fir$t.

Me too!!! But it sounds like a shady deal so maybe it’s good we didn’t take it.

The way people have been complaining about the Volunteer leave option I doubt they will ever do it again.
