If you are real leader do you want to lead at a startup doing new work or preside over bug fixing of more than 40 years of legacy? The same applies to both technical and managerial leadership throughout the company.
I don't see G2 behind the scenes, so I don't know how smart or innovative he is, nor do I know how he treats his staff. What I do see is on the surface: someone who is arrogant and thinks highly of himself. Others have noticed & commented on his $250K designer watch, but I wonder why he's constantly wearing that black leather jacket - indoors and during a heatwave in San Jose (the last Cisco Beat.) My conclusion: it must be expensive. Yes, he earns a lot of money. But is he worth it?
