ISG future and upcoming WFR round.

Does anyone has any idea or any news regarding next round of WFR. When it will be and on which basis it will happen? Also, what is the future of ISG and it's product portfolio as based on current wave it doesn't seem there is any vision or strategy for product to release in next quarter.

17 Products Up For Sale?

There was a post on the r/IBM Reddit page this morning that has since been removed by the executive team's flying monkeys. The post discussed 17 products being sold by IBM to Persistent and didn't go into further detail as the person who posted it was worried about being outed. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Nike Innovation Announces Its Most Successful Innovation Yet: Patronage

Congratulations to Nike Innovation, which has finally solved one of corporate America’s most stubborn problems: how to eliminate the inconvenience of experience, achievement, and institutional knowledge from promotion decisions.

For years, employees apparently misunderstood how advancement worked. They believed that spending 10, 15, or even more years building innovation capabilities, delivering difficult programs, transferring knowledge, and earning organizational credibility might prepare them for senior leadership.

Adorable.

When new leadership arrived from Running, the organization discovered a much more efficient talent strategy: bring trusted people along, place them above established innovators, and let everyone else reverse-engineer the qualifications afterward.

One particularly inspired decision involved elevating someone from development directly into a Principal Innovator position—above people who had spent years actually building the team’s innovation expertise. Employees naturally wondered what documented innovation record justified such an extraordinary appointment.

But asking for evidence misses the genius of the system. Why assess accomplishments when sponsorship is faster? Why develop internal talent when leadership already knows whom it likes? Why define the standards for becoming a Principal Innovator when ambiguity makes almost any decision possible?

“Principal” once suggested a sustained record of original thinking, organizational influence, and innovation leadership. Apparently, it can now mean being selected by the right people at the right moment.

Even better, leadership seems to have confused abrasiveness with authority. Territorial behavior becomes “ownership.” Undermining colleagues becomes “driving accountability.” Raising one’s voice becomes “passion.” Throwing coworkers under the bus becomes “executive presence.” When the favored employee behaves badly, the organization does not see a cultural problem—it discovers another leadership competency.

Meanwhile, longtime contributors receive the traditional Nike reward: a speech about embracing change, an invitation to keep delivering, and the privilege of watching someone else inherit the recognition.

This is not merely favoritism. Favoritism sounds accidental and embarrassingly unsophisticated. This was apparently a strategic operating model: concentrate opportunity around the incoming leadership network, protect the appointment from meaningful scrutiny, and wait for disappointed employees to leave so their departures can be described as transformation.

Nike constantly tells consumers that there is no finish line. Inside Innovation, however, there appears to be one—and leadership can move it whenever the wrong employee gets close.

The saddest part is not that deserving people were passed over. Corporate politics are hardly innovative. The saddest part is watching an organization built to challenge convention reproduce the most conventional failure imaginable: leaders rewarding familiarity over merit while congratulating themselves for being bold.

Nike Innovation does not lack talented innovators. It lacks leaders secure enough to recognize talent they did not personally bring into the room.

But perhaps we should applaud the experiment. It takes remarkable discipline to spend decades building an innovation culture and then dismantle its credibility in a single leadership transition.

Just don’t call it meritocracy.

That product failed testing.

Honest feedback on Shield

The free tier's biggest feature, the malware and phishing blocking, is invisible. Customers never see it work. No alert, no moment, nothing to point to. What they can see is the paid tier, and that's one camera and one sensor for $15 a month, more than Ring charges for full professional monitoring on an unlimited system. It only runs on our gateway, so the customers most likely to leave us are excluded from the thing meant to keep them. And we're not a company people rate highly right now. Cable ISPs sit at the bottom of the satisfaction rankings, well behind fiber and 5G. Free doesn't fix that. It just adds something invisible to a bill people already think is too high.
I think it's a fine retention product. I don't think it's a new category, and I think we should be honest with ourselves about the difference.

hahahaha!!! Nike stock in the thirties!!!

This is so sweet! after Nike was acting like total a--hole for long time! in vicious and arrogant ways, now they are marching towards twenties.
And nobody in Nike has answer!!!
I previously, posted that I have seen first quarter 2027 products for my buyer and I am supremely confident that based on what I saw in the presentation, Nike will not turn around by March 2027. After that I haven't seen so I can't say.

My momma told me not to wish anything bad on other people but sorry mom. Because I am looking forward to Nike hitting 20s.
Hopefully that will happen before end of this year.
I wonder if EH will be still in Beaverton.

And once Nike gets kicked out of DJ30 for being sh---y stock and get replaced by some hot shot stock then that could contribute another $5.00 down on stock because all the DJ30 mutual funds can start dumping all together at same time.

I wonder what is the PK's face when he learns that he is getting poorer by 1 billion. LOL

Let my X mas wish come through

What is with these names

Names like “Factory” already feel dated, while continuing to rely on “Tera” only reinforces the perception that we’re putting an AI wrapper around legacy technology rather than delivering something genuinely new. Adding “Autonomous” doesn’t help either—it echoes messaging Oracle was using years ago.

So now it’s a double whammy: dated, derivative product names attached to products that still don’t convincingly deliver or work.

Executives are cluless.waiting for their stock to vest

A lot of executives VP, SVPs are waiting for their stock to vest. They have no incentives to help the field people with any of the problems, either it is Score, Support, Product issues. We are selling because of relationship and not because of any capabilities.

A lot of these oldies are rusted and need to get kicked out starting with Jeff Clarke. He is a Plague.

SRP is a joke

New name . Same horrible neglected products. The once proud data protection division is a shell of what it was and is mostly made up of the hangers on being replaced with the ngsa graduates who don't know any better and just want to get out to the field to them half your pay is the dream job and a massive raise. Many of the leaders are protected . Bainenl should go sniffing around there lots of dead wood and useless dead weight that if you fired the Monday hardly anyone one notice. Sad but true.

Key Accounts

Over the years I created relationships with several folks (all key accounts). When I was laid off, I proceeded to tell them all how FIS instructed me to hide SLA misses and breaches at every available opportunity. I didn't tell them NOT to renew, I just told them to be sure they explored all available options.

But honestly I didn't have to do too much. The product was cr-p on a fancy plate.

I'm hoping that it hurt.

after watching every match in group stage of current World Cup

I would rank in this order

  1. Puma
  2. adidas
  3. Nike

Now, this is for all practical purpose, a three horse race.

Nike's products were old, lackluster and uninspiring. Led by Nike's top endorsee Brazil which is not having best time in their illustrious history, the uniform just looked bad. Nike's idea of improvement? change the color of uniform from strong yellow to light canary. Wow!! Typical of Nike in last 5 or 6 years. Now don't get me started on team USA's hideous American flag garbage. Great job Nike.

adidas had Nike upgrade in many of their uniform that looked good. Specially bringing back their trefoil logo. It worked. Maybe short term but it worked in this WC. Team Mexico was great success!!

Puma won the race with nice but subtle upgrade of their offering and increase of teams wearing it. Also, I am sure that Puma did not give those teams monster contract like Nike did to Brazil, USA and Germany.

Anyone in this site that wants to buy the leftover Nike soccer jerseys from my soccer specialty store then please reply below and I will contact you.
As you know Nike doesn't care if cr-p sold or not. They want their ACH on time or they will suspend my account

Why does Dell have thousands of Software Engineers?

Honest question: Why does Dell have software Engineering Leaders and 10s of thousands of software developers?

Every piece of enterprise software we develop either doesn't work, has to be recalled, or is already 10 years behind the competition when it releases. So why do we have these groups?

Why launch products that don’t sell?

I can’t understand why the company is launching all these products that end up being duds. Products that have very little AUM in them after 1-2 years and where they likely will not grow to reach scale. It ends up being a drain on resources and time and effort from various teams. Why? Just to keep people in a job and to use certain products as scapegoats for not winning.

Sales team probably said they could sell it. Product team likely did analysis to say it could be a winner. Management must’ve signed off on it.

Where is the accountability?

heading down a familiar path

I genuinely want to understand what's going on with CDO. She regularly brings sales people to speak at her town halls, the CEO directs AI roadmap questions to her instead of the product engineering leader, and right before the new CEO takes over she picks up yet another business unit. She came in as a operations leader, but now it feels like every strategically important BU reports into her.
At what point do we stop viewing this as a series of unrelated decisions and start seeing it as a deliberate concentration of leadership? Is the company effectively positioning her as the executive responsible for product, strategy, operations, and business execution all at once?
It's starting to look less like a traditional functional leader and more like someone accumulating power across the company, leading to a centralized executive structure similar to what existed under Mark's leadership, where significant influence and decision-making authority was concentrated under a single leader.
Time will tell whether this is the right approach. But given the company's experience with one man leadership, it's fair to question whether we're heading down a familiar path.

🍋 LEMON LAW? 🍋

If you manufacture watches... or honestly ANYTHING that runs on batteries or any kind of fuel... why on earth would you photograph your product sitting on a pile of lemons?
You do realize lemons are basically the universal symbol for something defective, broken, disappointing, unreliable, and headed straight back to customer service, right?
Really unfortunate creative direction, guys. Somewhere there was a meeting where a whole team approved this. Yes. That turnaround of the company should be happening any day now.

my take is that Nike is too big!!!

Nike just kept moving forward for last 40 years at 90 MPH.

the issue with Nike is that they are too big. They are in every aspect of sports business.

Akin to adidas in 70s, Nike is too many things!! License product, performance product, non performance product, accessories, skateboarding, boutique retros, winter sports, team sports on and on.
Perhaps the winning strategy is cut out category that does not help Nike and not doing a good job as we speak or there is no future in it.

adidas was in so many categories including perfumes LOL in the 1970s. And when Mr. adidas passed the whole thing came crumbling down and gave Nike a hole big enough drive train by. Let's learn from mistake, other people's mistake.

streamline your offerings!!!

Show Our New Product?!

Bruh, if you get the chance to have a segment done on national TV at least show some of the upcoming product/newness we have coming out? We have that right? Right?

For the past 18 months all we have been hearing about is all the newness coming down the pipeline yet I as an internal employee have yet to see anything. And I don’t think a limited run of the Mind slippers are going to cut it. It’s great that we showed the campus and NSLR, but if nothing is coming out of either of them, what’s the point?

Really wish we were in a different situation.

Shaking head

Why would we go on a news show and cry vs showing some new hot product that will revolutionize the market?
Oh crud, that right, we don’t have hot new product or commercials. Thanks product and marketing….

Product line sales.

Some major product line sales are being considered as the demand shifts towards the profitable and relatively low cost drone business. .
Electronic warfare, (avionics) is on the chopping block. No need to retool or retrain. Old sites like Clifton and Rochester will likely close in the coming year.

2.5 years and an NDA to come up with an Out of the Box product called "ODW!" LOLOLOL

FKNG HILARIOUS!

The 10s of millions Dell spent on this "ODW" bs and the countless layoffs they did in order to fund it and THIS is what it looks like?

My minivvan has a similar interface and that was only 120k. Except it's not leggy af or clunky and doesn't take 5000 clicks to get where I want to go!
