nope there is no voluntary buyout and it is unlikely because the RTO will increase voluntary departure and the buyout were needed when nobody was leaving so folks who are waiting for it are making the wrong bet. The rules for retirements are posted now and some folks are hitting the 55yr +5 yer of service and retiring to take a job somewhere else. The benefit is explained on fid.com easy to understand why if you can get another job that's a good trade.

It could be that some people were retirement eligible and decided now was the time. People who were waiting around for another vbo that never came, not wanting to deal with the BS anymore, not wanting to police the FT RTO etc. Tired of being referred to as 'dinosaurs' etc
