I wonder if anyone on the RIF list would become part of the August RIF / involuntary layoff after VSP accepted and approved if we had an extended exit date? This would allow Centene to save on the “enhanced benefits” and since they are great at changing things.

I wish! Late 2027 is too long to wait to be free of this toxic work environment. RIF me!
@hy look at their calendar if it’s available
@hj How do you find out when your people leader has meetings scheduled?
@hk Especially if they are trying to do all this before open enrollment.
@hj I doubt they are limiting RIF to only Thursdays at this point. If they need HR to be present in each meeting, I'm sure they have to spread those notifications out. This is just an assumption.
On another thread someone thinks RIF will occur on Thursday d/t previous history. However there is a PL that has a block of time scheduled busy for notifications? 8/12/2026. I can't think of what else notifications might mean and none of us have a scheduled meeting for that time..
@gp that depends on what your state rip rules are.....if you live in Ca they have to give you 60 day notice...so you need to look up what your states rif notices are
@de do you know if the day of that meeting is your last working day or they give you a future separation date?
@da in the past, they have sent email invites to the person being rifd . Then tell them during that meeting
Does anyone know if RIFs will be announced in a team meeting? If so, the title of the meeting?
No, in the last london calling they said 4/5 people being let go is from thr VSP. The other 20% will be rif's and the company hasnt given notice/notified these people as of yet. Carrie Milby is having a restructuring town hall on Aug 26th...what will be said who knows but from now to then anything is on the table.
No if the person took the VSP they will not be part of the involuntary RIF. That’s the only thing I’ve actually hear myself from my PL who had asked senior leadership when we brought it up in one of our group meetings.
