Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo now pursuing attrition in India

Apparently India staff are so impressed by WFs new ranking system and career prospects based on it that as soon as they get an IM, they start applying out, get hired in 1-2 weeks, and leave.

The best part is, execs don't understand this, don't understand it takes months to years to fully train up a replacement, and don't understand how this is leading to system instability. Why can't they just follow the Jiras to do the job?

The cards are starting to fall.

God knows what kind of proprietary and customer information they’re taking with them.

It's true in the sense that HY will downsize everyone in India as soon as they have a cheaper option. They have even less loyalty to those employees than they do to Americans ones, which is to say that they are totally cool with firing them all, so long as there's minimal bad press. WF could fire every single person in India tomorrow, and American consumers wouldn't care. No loss there.

India folks will leave for a 10 cent raise.

@an I never said they were leaving within 1-2 weeks. I said they got job offers within 1-2 weeks. Yes, they stay for the required period, but it's nowhere near enough to get them up to speed operating in an enterprise this large.

And to @aj true, but WF specifically seeks the bottom of the barrel.

they all have 60 day notice periods and India takes that stuff seriously so no one is leaving with a couple weeks of getting an IM

They were having problems with this for years. They just cycle through all the banks that have locations over there.

some of the India quants think they're in God's gift to mathematics. I wouldn't hire them to hit F9 on a spreadsheet. Anyway, how many people does it actually take to lie to me and inappropriately close a jira ticket?
