What are the chances Fiserv gets acquired? I mean at this point that’s probably the only thing that’ll raise the stock price. Maybe a hostile takeover?

No one would touch it with the current debt load.
@ea This is probably a d-mb question but how is Fiserv getting away with this? Besides laws, why are heads of department allowing hundreds of vendors/contractors under them? And besides that they clearly aren’t working full time although paid full time and add little value, And then let go full time employees working their butts off?
@a9 I tend to agree that the H1B1 situation has really destroyed this place. These hires don't know a damn thing. Anytime I'm on any tech call, I call them out on their lack of knowledge and their inability to test things with the folks who use these platforms daily.
I hate how this place is crawling with H1B1 hires who just don't care to do better.
Maybe they are trying to organize a Leveraged Buy Out? Take the company private in a way that is terrible for everyone but the shareholders.
@a9 it's insane to see people who barely know anything are elevated to senior roles and you just stay in the same spot and constantly told to do more...
fiserv is a pig with a dress on it.
It’s a dog with fleas. Gordon Gekko wouldn’t touch it.
Just ride out the slow death spiral.
this place is past the point of no return.. tone-deaf management, off-shore "talent" replacing American workers, people that actually KNEW WTF to do were let go, etc. It goes on and on. When I explain how things work here to friends and family i just get blank stares back in disbelief.
you all know where this goes. start preparing
It’s not the sort of business a PE firm would wholesale want to buy. Their best case would be to buy and sell off chunks of the business, but some of the major portions drive too much critical infrastructure (like core banking) and the regulators would be all over that. Any competitor would be hesitant to buy even that portion of the business as it gives them a giant boat anchor of complexity to maintain and convert to their systems. Fiserv is sort of in a “new ok but to fail” boat, so either they turn things around or it’s a slow client attrition until they no longer are.
