Cigna Healthcare has to be one of the worst insurance companies ever. From the way they treat their customers, providers and employees! This company is money hungry and doesn’t deserve a dime of what they are making to ki-l people and keep them in pain. Cigna and Evicore both is going to burn in the deepest part of he-l for all the things they put people through only to receive a green buck. It’s ridiculous and they should be ashamed!

@1s5 The outsourcing ruined it for all of us. Hope all the corporations that adopted (and abused) the outsourcing hiring strategy go bankrupt.
Cigna used to be a great company. I used to be proud to work there. Then they went downhill fast in the last 5ish years. It definitely wasn’t the company I started at. It changed dramatically. They used to actually care. I think when the offshoring went into overdrive that’s when everything went downhill.
@1fn I will have what this person is having but in addition to the corporation shutdown, I would also like a tax payer reimbursement for all the years they have been ripping people off while they deny legitimate health claims, in order to save money but fail to put a halt to waste, fraud, and abuse, which was the whole point of their existence to be used by the government for administrative of medicare.

@f1 October 8th has been mentioned. My guess is a layoff notification on Thursday 9/10 which is a non-pay week with a ~30 day notification period with last days on October 8th.
@f1 I was laid off in 2022. I was brought back in late 2024 as a contractor and went FTE in January 2026.
I've been laid off over 10 times in an almost a 30 year career . The short answer is that there's absolutely, positively no way to tell how a corporate entity is going to move.
The last time I was laid off from Cigna I got a month's notice and 7 months of severance and full insurance. Out of all my layoffs, Cigna was the only company that gave me severance and fully paid insurance .
Given my previous experiences with layoffs, the fact that there's a lot of new leadership, the persistence of AI, the sell-off of multiple lines of business I feel it's doubtful that the majority of US workers will be spared and that we will get any warning, much less severance. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
