@cp remote workers are "allowed" to enjoy the experience (which is free to them) of being at home. Who needs a bonus when you are working yourself into the ground still providing the client contact that keeps the money rolling in?
Big raises for the C-Suite. Not so much for the peon class. Those folks will be lucky to get a freebie or two from the cafeteria.
