Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Researchers examined RTO mandates and found no improvement in financial performance or value, but a clear fall in employee satisfaction

When researchers examined return-to-office mandates across S&P 500 companies, they found no significant improvement in financial performance or firm value, but a clear fall in employee satisfaction — making the policy’s measurable human cost easier to find than its promised economic benefit

They don’t care. They want you to quit. If you don’t like it, quit. Pretty simple.

@tt exactly this. The bootlickers like to pretend as if RTO has increased hours and availability when in reality it’s significantly reduced hours and availability. Productivity and morale has never been lower. I used to get responses at all hours of the day, now if I send a note after 1PM I don’t get a response until the next day because nobody is around after 3PM until 7AM the next day. Nobody cares anymore. Just bare minimum all around.

I am not sure who your dealing with, but a majority of my group are out the door by 3p after having arrived at 7am. "8 & Skate, it can wait"

“ You cry about RTO every day
And yet you stay“

You bore us daily with your lack of wit; you are such a simple little twit.

Well, they are always looking for employee dissatisfaction, so it’s essentially working the way they wanted it to.

@cs

Yeah, I'm going to need you to show your work here, just to provide assurance that this isn't more mouthfarting from you.

Nothing extensive, just 2 or 3 peer-reviewed studies.

Research has proven that the higher the resistance to RTO, the more it is necessary for that person or group.

No measurable loss of productivity but with the added benefit of a workforce that will quit without severance.

Mission accomplished.

@bp really? I’ve noticed the opposite. I used to get responses all times of the day. Now after 2PM nobody is available and doesn’t respond until the next morning.

@bp

You have conducted a broadly-based assessment on this, throughout the enterprise and at different job levels?

If yes, you aren't doing enough of your own work.

If no, you are talking out of your a-s.

I know which side I'm betting on, mouth-farter.

RTO has made a significant difference in afternoon availability among many employees. The change is undeniable. No research needed. Idle contacts never responding in the past are now online and available. Thank you, RTO! Let’s keep the momentum going.
