Face it everyone - HP does not have much of a future. It's a dinosaur company, nowhere near cutting edge, its recent announced products are neither inventive nor impressive, and the company is just treading water. Boise is dead and will be completely gone by end of 2027. HQ is a tomb. And CWs continue to get annual unpaid "furloughs".
HP's future is bleak.
Sorry that your morale is destroyed but you're absolutely right. HP has always been in a perpetual cycle of:
idea, idea rejection, create powerpoints, show them to product management, another rejection because product management doesn't want to readjust forecasts, talk to suppliers, don't implement their products, let TDC do whatever they want with your product, argue about misalignment with TDC, project delays because TDC doesn't ever listen, release the product, get yelled at by your VP because the competitor implemented an idea that you originally had, explain that you had that original idea, performance review mentioning lack initiative and innovation... All in that order and then repeat. Don't get me started with our patent attorneys that lie about why invention disclosures never get approved. Don't get me started on the various organizations that compete with each other internally and creates the same labor to further waste the company's money.
This company is embarrassing. Seriously, what are we even doing anymore? It's the same PC that we made last year and year prior and year prior... and so forth. I really want to know who actually looks forward to new PC products every year. The technology has pretty much plateaued. Software is getting less complex and hardware is pretty much the same. If you have Linux then your PC is probably good for another 15 years. There is zero incentive to buy or look forward to next year's PCs.

Boise will be gone by May. They have already gutted the ability to test at the site. Shipping equipment out on a daily basis. To the point that they are going to miss their manufacturing timelines.
