Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I don't want your underpaid contract roles

About 18 months ago WF laid me off after a long 15-year run. Now, I get solicited for contractor roles about once or twice per month.

Wells Fargo: You can take your contract role and shove it up your a-s. I'm gainfully employed and have no desire to go back to your cesspit of despair.

Wow, and I was just about to offer you temporary role as consultant with a One hundred million dollars (spoken with pinky risen to corner of mouth). Seriously, congrats on your departure. Crank up the Led Zeppelin and Sing loud for the sunshine - Pray hard for the rain.

I was displaced in fall 2024. Nearly a year’s worth of severance. Contractor reached out to me in spring 2025 for a six-month role at $60 an hour. Ended up doing it and it wasn’t too bad. Yeah, wasn’t treated the best but double-dipped for all of that time nearly and then retired. I have since chosen to work part-time. So, it does happen! I met a few other former FTEs, some had been displaced while others were new to WF.

I hope the tables turn and this horrific bank has trouble finding talent soon. I’d never go back

If you think whoever is sending you those offers hangs out on here I can see why they got rid of you.

The exact same thing happened to me. About two weeks after I was laid off, I started getting emails from temp agencies for my exact same job at $12 less per hour.
