I just had a co-worker terminated Monday at mid-term. Also saw this once last year at mid-term. Looks like HR is making the call if you have a low performance review. Both employees had over seven years. Another quiet way Ford is removing employees.

@OP and all others. This shouldn't alarm anyone. Especially if you have a significant amount of responsibility at the company. If they let you go, they have to find someone else to run the $hit show you've been running (good luck). Oh they'll find someone else no doubt about it. But it won't be your problem anymore and if you are any sort of competent you'll find something else quick. If you know how to interview (I hope you've been practicing) and know how to talk to people - you realistically shouldn't be unemployed long. The hype out there will tell you different, but the reality seldom matches all the doom right now. Take interviews simply for practice even if you have no intention of accepting. Who knows, something might work out you'd have never known about unless you got on the phone with someone. you can learn so much from....wait for it....talking to new people!

Post ID: @2er+1kzsf1rpp Let's talk about reverse age discrimination and how bringing it up results in the perpetrator screaming, "Age discrimination!"
If a senior is considered senior only because of tenure, and not because of experience or knowledge, then the role is not being filled based on merit. If a subordinate is ghostwriting or having their intellectual contributions rewritten under the name of a senior, and upon complaining is called arrogant and told that the perpetrator is senior to them, that's not age discrimination.

@2bp
It has 100% been in process at Ford for at least the last couple years. Funny how it seems to slip through the cracks with these reporters.

My LL6 continues to demonstrate a truly remarkable talent for contributing absolutely nothing of substance. Whatever the manager hands down is exactly what we get — no filtering, no leadership, no value added.
As for “TVM,” here’s a cost‑savings idea with real potential: empower the people who actually produce results, remove the LL6 layer entirely, and redistribute half of that salary to the team. That would be the first time the LL6 position generated measurable ROI.
Our LL6’s decision‑making skills are so underdeveloped that we’ve started treating them like a theoretical concept — something we’ve heard about but never actually seen. His daily routine appears to consist of staring into a laptop screen with great intensity, presumably in hopes that the team will mistake “looking busy” for “doing anything at all. He amazingly does not turn on the big screens on the desk - what a joke !!!
Read up on the recent lawsuits against GM for the forced ranking and age discrimination firings. The same process is in play at Ford.
My supervisor told me that the Bar Raiser was a joke and impossible to give. This PR process is a joke - if your boss likes you, you get Met, if your boss or manager doesnt like you, you are sc--wed.
For those who got let go, did you get the X months of salary based on years in service??
I got met / exceeded, what should I expect? This is my 1st mid term as I was hired in late 2025.
@ag
I was terminated last year around this time, and they didn't even have the decency to give me my midterm. My health has also significantly improved since I've been away from Ford's toxic culture, and my doctor is impressed with my improvements as well. I don't miss Ford one bit. Fully enjoying life on the outside.

I would argue to get DF and RH back as well. All were hi-tech visionaries that Ford did not give the proper support and time to move the bar in this company.
@c6 All teams. I know someone in Finance that was let go last week. He had 20+ years.
Which team?
Making room to bring FLV back. Franck Louis-Victor coming back to Transform In-Vehicle Customer Experiences. Europe is coming back in vogue.
Life is better on the outside. My health has astonishingly improved since leaving, doc can't believe his own tests.
This is always happening. Milk toast news. No big deal at all. A lot of people are just waiting for this because they are already looking. Might be the push some people need. In large part - who cares?
