BTC Expats Pushkng You down in rankkngs

Mandate from management to ensure BTC expats in the US rank well as “these are the future leaders of the company” which means you will not be ranked well.

EM ranking system is a joke.

I have seen sponsored mo--ns placed at the top of the list and it was career limiting to say anything bad about any one of them. It seemed possible to slightly move one up a notch by saying something complementary, but unacceptable to move one down a notch by pointing to an error or flaw.

I have seen a person moved up 28 RG points after the ranking meeting due to HR target distribution requirements.

I have seen high productivity expat in Nigeria bumped downward to place only chosen locals at the top of the list.

I have seen one of the best engineers on a project bumped to NSI because he would not cover up an issue that a VP wanted hidden.

Now I see Indian Impats that can do little more than book a meeting for a department manager, like an Admin, demanded to be moved up that rank list above the people correcting the Indian’s mistakes.

How do EM Execs think we believe the system is in any way a legitimate measure of performance?

Hello - I think we could set up a class action on the basis that our jobs are being off-shored with resulting unreasonable demands on us to support through training and correction of errors. I would be willing to contribute to a crowd-funding to initiate such an initiative - say 100 USD - if there are a hundred of us we can find a mediocre lawyer who leverages AI to write a nice complaint letter announcing class action and then give him a mandate to seek a 1 MUSD settlement. I think it would scare the living daylights out of HR and they would sign rightaway, Would be a 50 fold return (assuming we give half of the return to the one coordinating this) but more importantly a nice wake up call to Management.

@ax typing fast and not caring on a forum like this is not the same as making mistakes in your deliverables at work.

Most of the Indians in Spring are like students and not full contributors. They take meeting notes and book meetings/rooms, but NEVER lead meetings.

Another way ranking is rigged when the person that booked the meeting room is ranked higher than the person the lead the meeting.
