Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Job postings on Linkedin

How are they laying off left and right and then posting jobs on LinkedIn?

Make it make sense

@gq Hopefully those thousands of dollars saved from the displacement of that employment for a cheaper one can be added to the current CEO’s salary so they can better be able to pay their bills.

We had one person on our team take the VSP and they're backfilling that position. The job is posted. I think it depends on the area and state contract requirements, but our teammate will be gone and they'll bring in a new person at the lowest salary. That right there saves them thousands per year.

These are ghost positions. The recruiting firms calling about them don’t know any better. Lots of company’s post open positions just to give the impression of growth and prosperity, even if they have zero intron of filling them.

Ok. So. I was laid off in 2023. Ive since moved on to happier pastures but I will tell you I get calls WEEKLY from agencies recruiting for positions at Centene. If they fill those positions through an agency, they dont have to pay the benefits, the agency does.

@bf C’mon?! Be honest; you know what you guys are doing. You are replacing American citizen’s jobs for cheaper foreign labor. Stop insulting everyone’s intelligence and own it!!!

Just because jobs are listed, doesn't mean that actually exist. A lot of companies post ghost jobs just just to harvest potential new employee information for possible future hiring.

@OP Still posting jobs for “28 million members” when the actual number is 25.9 million.

Apparently the layoffs are moving faster than the website updates.

Are they posting them with a lower salary band and lower benefits? Or setting the location to India?

If any of that is yes, then you understand why....
