Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Mobility rate numbers don't make sense

how is it possible that brokerage can have a mobility rate almost 40%?
am I in an echo chamber in tech where there is no mobility?
are other business functions having one in three folks or I guess higher since nothing's happening in tech change roles? is that number for a one-year time period? or is it for like their entire career at Fidelity?

Oh, mobility means HR is trying to keep the Covid hires from a mass exit. They know anyone who has been here more than 7 years will just put up with their BS. According to data and research, of course! They will happily tell you that with a smile, while they stab you in the back.

In brokerage, mobility means you change seats during connect weeks.
